This morning (NZ time), Mathieu Hemery had the chance, along with a few other Mosaic colleagues, to join the webinar hosted by Manifest Climate on 2024 trends for Managing Climate Risk, with a panel comprising of Manifest Climate and MSCI.
Several topics were covered from the regulatory needs on publishing climate-related disclosure (although they can be different from jurisdiction to jurisdiction), to using AI and technology to power through the emerging data needs supporting a greater engagement and integration beyond the reporting, to the climate opportunities and risks.
Interestingly, on average companies seemed to have started by tackling the measurement of their Green House Gas emissions and understanding their climate-related risks and opportunities; however on average, companies need to implement and/or strengthen governance (at governing body and management levels), integration and scenario analysis.
